God created marriage when He created mankind,
Genesis 2:18
The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.
God instituted marriage as part of a "one flesh" relationship :
Genesis 2:24
"That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh."
This relationship is sacred, it goes beyond the physical, Jesus said:
Matthew 5:28
"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. "
This speaks to the spiritual nature of the marriage relationship, in that, the adultary of the heart is a sin also. Antelope Christian Center is planning a marriage workshop to explore the reasons why God instituted marriage and to discuss possible causes for the attack on marriage today.
